As payment systems move away from fee for service to pay for performance, gaining patient buy-in to their care plans is gaining importance. For this webinar we will be discussing strategies for identifying reasons for nonadherance/noncompliance and developing skills and strategies to increase adherence and compliance to care plans.
Using techniques such as teach back and incorporating shared decision making tools, we will address:
- Do you know what’s important to the patient? Their general life goals? Specific goals relative to the condition?
- Does the patient understand their condition? The care plan?
- Do you understand what the patient can do? Is motivated to do? How to bend the positions to achieve success?
- Do you have a concept of relative success?
