Power of Persuasion

As payment systems move away from fee for service to pay for performance, gaining patient buy-in to their care plans is gaining importance. For this webinar we will be discussing strategies for identifying reasons for nonadherance/noncompliance and developing skills and strategies to increase adherence and compliance to care plans.

Using techniques such as teach back and incorporating shared decision making tools, we will address:

1. Do you know what’s important to the patient? Their general life goals? Specific goals relative to the condition?
2. Does the patient understand their condition? The care plan?
3. Do you understand what the patient can do? Is motivated to do? How to bend the positions to achieve success?
4. Do you have a concept of relative success?
